While inevitable, this trend makes me sad. I hate Amazon, and refuse to buy from it. You can't convince me that Amazon's good for our economy. It's a local community (and economy) killer, like Wallmart before them. I go out of my way to purchase from local brick and mortar businesses, read the actual newspaper in the morning, and have never paid a cent for cable TV. At the same time, I love some social media platforms, and embrace many forms of technology. It will take our will to keep traditional retail from dying, because left to a natural state of things, ease of purchase will kill it.
