Agree with your sentiments but we have to recognize that everything surrounding us is geared to an achievement culture. All the marketing. All the pressure. All the history, family, expectation. So much is shouting: “more, better, best.” And so it takes inner peace and strength to blow it off for living for today. It can be done, but it’s not easy.
